I have one working key and one older, not-working key. The dead one was used every day for 4+ years, then one morning it wouldn't work. I've tried a few things with it. Tried pairing it to the alarm, no joy. I've stripped it down, replaced the battery, inspected it for obvious corrosion, removed the circuit board and baked it in the oven. Still I recently changed the battery in my key fob ( I got a guy in an auto parts shop to do it for me) Now the car locks fine, but will only pop the boot open, no doors are opened by the remote central locking. It only opens by the key in the drivers door, then key in the ignition, then the unlock button in the centre consol, by the hand brake Dodge Grand Caravan – (IFCAR / Wikipedia) The most common cause of key fob not locking or unlocking the doors in Dodge Grand Caravan is dead coin battery inside the key fob. With the car locked the boot switch will unlock the boot only. Take care not to leave the key in the car as the boot will lock as soon as you close it, although I think the delay time can be extended with coding. Edited 4 November, 2023 by ords. Our equipment reads the key design from the car’s lock so we can copy it. We'll pick a blank key or fob to suit your vehicle from the range carried in our vans. Thats right, if the boot opens on the remote button, the remote is coded and synced to the car. Its either a flat battery (i dont know why but the lock/unlock stop working first) or a duff remote Gremling said: Hi, just to clarify your statement "My Skoda Superb 3 central lock does not unlock front passenger door. Locking working." Does it not unlock at all, what if you open lock from inside, or is it that You need to use key to unlock (if possible). There is an issue with some Audi driver door locks, that starts to misbehave. 3, Manually lock drivers door using key. 4, Wait at least 1 second. 5, Press same key lock/unlock button once. 6, Vehicle horn sounds to indicate correct programming . This may take a few attempts but if it does not work after two or three then unfortunatly you will need to go to a garage with the correct programming equiptment . Regards. Jake NY2A3.
