I'm only on my 3rd play through (well, 2.5 as the .5 got abandoned when Origins got backwards compatibility). The first time I didn't have Soldier's Peak, but now I do it first thing just for the storage unit (I'm a hoarder in game).
Please excuse any etiquette mistakes, I don't use Reddit much. For those that don't know, Dragon Age: Origins' DLC requires connection to a now-defunct Bioware service. On PC and such there are plenty of work arounds to active them anyways, but I've been unable to get any of them working on my Steamdeck.
Awakening was a massive DLC/expansion around the time of release. It's a bad end playthrough as the baddies. It's as quick as it needs to be. The biggest bummer is Alistair siding with the werewolves and allowing construction of new golems.
The common colloquialism for the game is "Dragon Mage: Origins" for a reason, amd that reason is that mages are absolutely broken as hell. Reply reply adoringfan92
For companions in other games, see Companion. The companions in Dragon Age: Origins are the people who accompany the Warden on their journey. The Warden can make decisions which will result in a companion leaving, or even dying. If a companion leaves the Warden or dies, their equipment will be lost. Approval plays an important part in companion interaction. It changes based on plot decisions
4 The Dwarf Commoner Origin. While the dwarf noble origin shows off the luxurious side of dwarven life in Orzammar, the commoner alternative shows it at its worst. Dwarven society in Dragon Age is based on a caste system. The dwarf commoner is casteless and lives in poverty, being forced to serve as a mercenary.
These are just pre-order items, so mostly useless. However a month ago EA killed Project $10 and released the Project $10 DLC for free as well, which means you can now get The Stone Prisoner DLC for free in case you bought the game used, at least on Xbox360, it's not yet free on PSN for some reason. 1. Help: DLC Bonus Items Not Showing Up. I recently purchased the Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition on Steam to revisit one of my childhood favorite games. All the normal DLC (Stone Prisoner, Return to Ostagar, etc.) work as intended. However, I have been unable to get the bonus DLCs like Embriโs Many Pockets and the Memory Band to download.
Personally, I'd play Darkspawn Chronicles after playing Origins to really appreciate the people you're killing. Makes it funnier/sadder depending on how you look at it. Leliana's Song you can do whenever. I didn't play it till after finishing Origins, but it doesn't really matter. I believe chronologically it goes Awakenings-> Golems-> Witch
Yes! This was the first game I downloaded for Steam deck, runs beautifully but there's work to go into it. I spent a lot of time on the controls mapping (I started with "Khar's Dragon Age: Origins" map and customized it further from there) but it's surprisingly comfortable to play now. Maybe I'm just used to it.
